Group One of the Expedition

As mentioned in a previous post-there are a large number of us making the rounds for testing in this expedition. I also added that there are at least two groups in the pack-one focusing on animal and plant life samples and one of weather and the movement of animals. Today I will be giving the roster and the particular jobs of those involved in plant and animal sampling.

In charge of this team in particular and he who reports directly to myself (Doctor Renford) is Professor Knightly. He is an Ecologist Professor with a background in Biology. Using his skills and in the vein of what he has been studying for the past ten years (see `Disease and its Relation to Ecology: A Closer Look at the Mutative Diseases Effect on Plants and Animals Volumes One through Eight) Professor Knightly is the best individual for this position.

Directly under him, and acting as his research assistants are Doctor Woodhouse and Doctor White. They are both highly train individuals in the areas of Botany and Zoology, respectively. The other seven members of the team are broken down further between these three individuals. Together, the ten of them are in charge of what we take in of plant and animal samples.

More to come on the other teams.

Chart Sample

This chart is an example of some of the plant life we collected on day one. One of my team mates pulled up a variety of trees that we saw and complied them here so that you can get an idea of what will be included in the report. There are a number of things that we look for and twice this amount that we endeavor to take down in chart forum...but as a sample this will suffice. Our secondary sample, if you recall I mentioned in my pre-expedition portfolio, will include all future efforts of sample taking from such a specimen in the area. Not included are the exact locations, time, member who gathered and which compartment it was designated to, this information will come following the written report.

Video Entry #1

This is my first video uploaded for the Institution of Humanities and Sciences [IHS]. Through my journal updates and these videos, my fellow IHS scientists can compare their own studies and travels to the progress my team and I make.

Until next time,

Dr. Renford

On the Road...

This is Doctor Renford.

I am head of the Northern Branch of Field Studies for the Institution of Humanities and Sciences. I was promoted to this position from the rank of General Field Studies Governess when a curious outbreak of undead appeared in the north. While my general focus of studies has always been disease and how the human condition reacts, the undead have continuously been a curiosity of mine.

It will be interesting to see how the populous of Wolvenfang, the Duchy I am personally taking watch over, will react to the plague. We will begin taking samples as soon as we arrive and when possible, give updates onto this blog for the IHS to take into consideration as they conduct their own studies. With the large group assigned to me proficient in research, sample gathering and fighting I believe we will survive and quickly come to understand this uprising.
